Ninety-four orders, certificates and letters from his 201 file, September 1941 to November 1946 — scanned, dated and browsable.

Every sheet that survives from Jack Cline’s personnel file, in the order it was issued. Most are mimeographed extracts of special orders, the routine paperwork of moving one man through a war: a transfer between companies at Camp Claiborne, a rating as pilot, a crew and an aircraft, a promotion, a certificate of fifty-one missions, and finally a line relieving him of the mess audit at Eglin Field.

Each page here is the scan itself. Below every document is a machine transcription — rough, since these are carbon copies and mimeographs — kept mainly so that names and place names can be searched. Where a document has been read closely, there is a note saying what it is and why it matters; the rest are listed by what their file names record.
